Recording the materiality decision

For each tool you decide whether its use is material — the app only ever suggests. The decision and reasoning are recorded against your name.

Materiality step with decision buttons and reasoning
For each tool, choose Material, Not material or Needs review and record your reasoning. The coloured pill is guidance only — your decision is what counts, and it’s recorded against you as the responsible surveyor. A short “what happens next” note appears under each choice.
Plain-English materiality rule dialog
Unsure where the line is? Choose “See the rule” for a plain-English explanation of materiality (RICS standard, s.1). If in doubt, treat it as material and record why.

Every step above uses ComplyQS on fictional demo data. Try it on your own firm — free for 180 days, from £20/month after.
